Burnley captain Josh Brownhill led his side back to the Premier League after a decisive victory over Sheffield United. The midfielder scored twice in the first half, with Thomas Cannon’s goal sandwiched in between.

Burnley’s promotion also secured a Premier League ticket for their title rivals, Leeds United. The team’s success this season has been marked by a rock-solid defense — registering 12 consecutive clean sheets and conceding only 15 goals in 44 matches.

“Honestly, I’m speechless. All the hard work this season. We’ve been underrated and called boring… but we’ve bored our way to the Premier League,” Brownhill told Sky Sports.

“It’s amazing. It took the whole team, it took everyone. I’m so happy for the lads who’ve never played in the Premier League. I’m really happy.”
