Jorge Martin’s Future with Aprilia MotoGP Remains Uncertain

According to Man on Wheels Magazine, Jorge Martin’s future with Aprilia MotoGP team returns to spotlight following controversial statements about his contract status.

During last week’s Dutch MotoGP series, Jorge Martin’s agent — Albert Valera — announced that his client would be free agent for 2026 season, despite initial agreement extending through that season’s end.

Aprilia CEO Massimo Rivola responded firmly — the team is ready to pursue legal action if Martin forces his departure.

“There’s no point in forcefully keeping a rider who doesn’t want to perform with us,” stated MotoGP expert Carlo Pernat.

The situation becomes more complex with performance clause in contract allowing the Madrid-born rider to terminate cooperation earlier than scheduled.
