Jorge Martin’s Contract Drama with Aprilia Heats Up after Bezzecchi’s Victory

According to Bolasport.com, Aprilia Racing’s internal situation has come under spotlight after Marco Bezzecchi showed impressive performance — contrasting with Jorge Martin’s doubts about his team.

Martin has confirmed his intention to activate the exit clause from his contract that should run until 2026. The rider has requested an extension of the evaluation deadline for the first six series — which was hampered by injuries he sustained since preseason testing.

Aprilia has shown a firm stance by rejecting the request and expects the existing contract to be honored. Martin’s doubts about Aprilia RS-GP’s performance received a real rebuttal — when Bezzecchi managed to win the British MotoGP race a few weeks ago.

Although the victory was aided by technical problems experienced by Fabio Quartararo from Monster Energy Yamaha, Aprilia sees this result as concrete evidence — refuting Martin’s doubts about the capabilities of the Borgo Panigale-based factory team.
