Jorge Martin’s Contract Conflict with Aprilia Intensifies

According to Speedweek, the contract dispute between Jorge Martin and Aprilia enters a critical phase — the Spanish rider seeks to terminate his contract early through a release clause.

Albert Valera, Martin’s manager, asserts his client has the right to join another team in the 2026 season — however, Aprilia holds a different view on this situation.

The Italian manufacturer states all contract requirements have been properly fulfilled — they are ready to take this case to court to maintain Martin’s contract until the end of 2026.

“I believe Honda could make progress with Martin,” states Stefan Bradl, Honda’s test rider.

While Honda remains waiting for situation developments with an empty seat for 2026, latest Spanish media reports indicate Martin will likely stay with Aprilia next season.
