Jorge Martin suffers serious injury after crash in MotoGP Qatar

Jorge Martin — the reigning MotoGP champion faces a challenging season with Aprilia Racing in 2025. The Madrid-born rider started the season with a serious accident during pre-season testing at Buriram Circuit — forcing him to miss the first three opening races.

After returning to racing at Lusail Circuit, Qatar, fortune wasn’t on Martin’s side — he suffered another incident resulting in broken ribs. This injury is predicted to keep him sidelined for about three months.

A similar fate has befallen Prima Pramac Yamaha rider Miguel Oliveira — who had to skip three race series after sustaining injuries at MotoGP Argentina.
