Jorge Martin suffers 11 broken ribs after MotoGP Qatar accident

According to Motorsport, Jorge Martin remains under treatment at Hamad General Hospital, Doha — his condition is more serious than initially diagnosed.

The Aprilia Racing rider experienced a serious incident during the 2025 MotoGP Qatar race when he fell and was hit by the front tire of Fabio Di Giannantonio‘s Pertamina Enduro VR46 motorcycle.

Initial diagnosis showed six broken ribs, but further examination revealed — the number of fractured ribs increased to 11.

“Jorge spent the night at Hamad General Hospital. There are no traumatic changes affecting the brain, neck spine, or abdominal organs,” stated the medical team in charge.

The doctors decided the Madrid-born rider must remain hospitalized — at least for several more days to ensure optimal recovery.
