Jorge Martin receives medical clearance for Qatar MotoGP return

According to Motorsport.com, reigning MotoGP champion Jorge Martin has received medical clearance to participate in the Qatar MotoGP series following examination at Dexeus Hospital, Barcelona.

The Aprilia Racing rider was forced to miss the first three rounds of the 2025 season — his injuries stemming from a preseason testing accident and aggravated by an incident during practice before full recovery.

After appearing in the MotoGP Americas paddock last weekend, the Madrid-born rider is preparing to return to the track at Lusail Circuit, Qatar in mid-April.

“Clinical and radiological examination of the scaphoid, radius, and triquetrum fractures shows good evolution,” — stated doctor Xavier Mir who performed Martin’s surgery.
