Jorge Martin likely to leave Aprilia earlier than contract terms

According to MotoGP.com, Dorna Sports CEO has given special attention to the escalating contract controversy between Jorge Martin and Aprilia Racing.

The 2024 MotoGP world champion — who joined Aprilia with a two-year contract until 2026 — now faces a complex situation after missing nine out of ten races this season.

Martin’s manager, Albert Valera, made a surprising statement during the Dutch GP:

“Martin is completely open and available for other teams. He has a clause in his contract, has the right to execute it, and he has done so.”

This statement indicates that the 27-year-old rider — originally contracted until the end of 2026 — might leave Aprilia earlier than scheduled.
