Jorge Martin confirmed to stay with Aprilia for 2026 season

According to AS.com, the contract drama between Jorge Martin and Aprilia enters a new chapter — the Spanish rider will continue representing the Italian factory team in the 2026 season.

Martin’s contract with Aprilia originally covers two seasons — 2025 and 2026. However, speculation about his departure emerged after a clause that would allow him to leave if not competitive in the first six series.

The situation intensified when Martin’s personal manager, Albert Valera, made public statements during the Dutch MotoGP series. Valera indicated his client could be free from contract in 2026 with Honda as a potential destination.

Aprilia insists on keeping their star rider — especially considering Martin has only raced once this season due to injury. Recent reports reveal that Martin’s contract indeed has a special clause that only allows transfer to Honda.
