Jorge Lorenzo Reveals Performance Differences Between Bagnaia and Marquez at Italian MotoGP

Three-time MotoGP world champion Jorge Lorenzo shared his insights on the performance differences between Ducati Lenovo riders — Francesco Bagnaia and Marc Marquez at Mugello Circuit.

The Italian rider Bagnaia — who previously dominated the last three Italian GP editions — showed surprising performance at his home race. He managed to maintain the lead for the first seven laps against pressure from the Marquez brothers, but his pace declined dramatically until he failed to reach the podium.

“When the front tire was gone, I backed off. I could get close to Alex but couldn’t attack,” Bagnaia revealed. “I’m angry because I knew I could win the race, but I felt unable to do it.”

Despite using the same tire combination — soft rear and medium front — Marquez demonstrated better management compared to Bagnaia in dealing with tire wear issues.
