Jorge Lorenzo comments on Bagnaia’s performance in Italian MotoGP sprint race

According to Bolasport.com, Francesco Bagnaia experienced a challenging day at the 2025 Italian MotoGP sprint race at Mugello Circuit.

The Ducati rider, who carried home hopes — starting from second position — failed to capitalize on his early lead after Marc Marquez made a mistake at the start.

Marc Marquez ultimately secured his eighth sprint victory of the season, followed by his brother Alex Marquez from Gresini Racing in second place, while Bagnaia had to settle for third.

This result further impacts the 2022 and 2023 MotoGP world champion’s position in the standings — currently sitting third with 147 points, trailing Marquez by 98 points who remains firmly at the top.
