Jordi Amat — the Spanish defender currently playing for Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) — is reportedly set to leave the Malaysian club for a major Indonesian side.

The 33-year-old player has had an extensive career in Europe, starting at Espanyol and reaching his peak with Swansea City, before moving to Belgian side KAS Eupen and eventually to JDT.

In his final season with JDT, Jordi Amat remains a regular choice in the Malaysian Super League, serving as team captain with 15 appearances and two goals. However, the situation differs in the AFC Champions League Elite — coach Hector Bidoglio has only played him four times out of 10 matches, with two starts.

Amat’s departure would mark the end of his tenure in Malaysia and could see him join a high-profile Indonesian club—where he would likely be seeking more regular playing time and a new challenge in his career.

With his experience in European and Asian football—Amat’s next move will surely attract significant attention across the region.
