Indonesian national team defender Jordi Amat will play his final Malaysia Super League match with Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) tonight — facing Kuching City FC in a crucial fixture.

The 33-year-old’s tenure with The Southern Tigers is set to conclude at the end of May 2025—with just two matches remaining this season: one in the Super League and one in the Malaysia FA Cup.

Head coach Héctor Bidoglio has primarily relied on Jordi Amat for domestic league competitions — where the seasoned centre-back has made 15 appearances out of 23 matches this season.

In contrast, his involvement in the AFC Champions League Elite has been limited to just four appearances—including two starts, across 10 matches.

JDT’s season will officially end with the Malaysia FA Cup final against Pahang, scheduled for April 26 — marking Amat’s final appearance in Malaysian football before his departure.

Jordi Amat’s exit signals the end of a significant chapter in JDT’s defensive line. His leadership and international experience have contributed to the club’s domestic dominance—and his departure will leave a gap that JDT must soon address as they prepare for the next season.
