Jordi Amat one step away from joining Persija Jakarta

Indonesia national team defender Jordi Amat is closing in on joining Persija Jakarta — the capital city club competing in Liga 1 for the 2025/2026 season.

The 33-year-old previously played for Johor Darul Takzim in the Malaysian League — but did not extend his contract with the club.

Persija Jakarta Director, Mohamad Prapanca, has given positive indications regarding Amat’s arrival — despite rumors that the former Swansea City player would return to Spain.

Besides Amat, Persija management is also reportedly approaching another Indonesia national team player — Thom Haye, to strengthen their squad for the upcoming season.
