Jordi Amat Turns Down Foreign Offers to Join Persija Jakarta

Jordi Amat, a defender for the Indonesia national team, has officially joined Persija Jakarta, showing full commitment ahead of the 2025/2026 Liga 1 season.

The 33-year-old revealed that he received offers from several clubs in Spain and Saudi Arabia, but ultimately decided to sign with the Jakarta-based club.

The former Johor Darul Ta’zim player is now focused on building chemistry with his new teammates at Persija, having already begun training sessions with the squad.

Although he has vast experience in European football, including with Swansea City, Jordi Amat insists he does not underestimate the level of competition in Liga 1 Indonesia and is ready to give his best.
