Jonathan David Signs Five-Year Contract with Juventus

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Canada national team striker Jonathan David has officially joined Juventus on a free transfer after his contract with Lille expired.

The 25-year-old forward has signed a five-year contract with the 36-time Serie A champions — with a deal worth €6 million per season plus bonuses up to €2 million.

David’s arrival marks the first significant move by Juventus’ new general manager, Damien Comolli — who previously confirmed that Igor Tudor will remain as the team’s head coach.

The Canadian striker impressed in his final season with Lille — scoring 25 goals and providing 12 assists in 49 appearances across all competitions. David also stands as Canada’s all-time leading scorer with 36 goals from 67 matches.
