Jonatan Christie Exits Early from Singapore Open 2025

Jonatan Christie suffered a second-round exit at the Singapore Open 2025, held at the Singapore Indoor Stadium. The Indonesian men’s singles shuttler lost to Malaysia’s Leong Jun Hao with a score of 16-21, 19-21.

The fifth seed of this BWF Super 750 tournament struggled against Leong’s aggressive play from the very start. The Malaysian took an early lead with three consecutive points in the opening game.

Although Jonatan managed to level the score with precise drive shots, he was unable to maintain his momentum. His three-point lead before the first interval quickly slipped due to lapses in concentration.

This defeat also marked the end of Indonesia’s campaign in the men’s singles category at the Singapore Open 2025.
