Johnqt Hungry for Sentinels versus DRX Rematch at EWC 2025

Sentinels‘ in-game leader Amine “johnqt” Ouarid says his team is optimistic heading into their final Valorant EWC 2025 Group Stage match to decide their playoff fate.

The North American giants started EWC 2025 in an unconvincing fashion. They suffered an early upset loss against the fast-paced BBL Esports before bounced back by defeating XLG in their second Group B match to level their record.

Now sitting at 1-1, they face South Korea’s DRX to decide the last Group B playoff spot. And johnqt expressed strong confidence and eagerness for the match, believing his team can execute their plan.

“Yeah, I’m definitely excited for the game. I kind of looking for our revenge against DRX, even though they kind of like, have a little bit of a different roster. But it should be a competitive game and we’ll make sure to prepare and be ready to win tomorrow.”

Johnqt’s comment likely refers to their last meeting at the VCT Masters Bangkok in March 2025, where Sentinels were eliminated from playoff contention after a clean sweep loss to DRX in the Swiss Stage. Both teams eventually failed as they lacked minimum points to continue.

The two teams clash tomorrow afternoon (10/07) in one of the most anticipated matchups of the group stage, as both are considered regional powerhouses.
