Joey Logano secured a dramatic victory at the NASCAR Cup Series Texas 2025 — clinching his spot in this season’s playoffs after starting from 24th position.

This action-packed race saw pole sitter Carson Hocevar crash out, while chaos unfolded on pit road and throughout the final stage with multiple incidents. Michael McDowell nearly pulled off a stunning win before hitting the wall with just four laps remaining.

Ross Chastain delivered an outstanding restart performance — climbing from 31st to finish second. Meanwhile, Denny Hamlin saw his streak of 21 consecutive lead-lap finishes come to an end after his car caught fire in the first stage.

Legacy Motor Club achieved a notable result by placing two drivers in the top 10:

  • Erik Jones finished fifth
  • John Hunter Nemechek finished eighth

Turn 4 bump proved to be a major issue throughout the race — causing crashes involving several drivers, including race leader Josh Berry and second-place contender Kyle Busch.

“I can’t seem to do anything right at the moment,” said Ryan Blaney, after his decision to give up a front-row restart position backfired.

This win ends a tough start to the season for Joey Logano — and continues his remarkable streak of at least one victory in every season since 2012.
