Joao Felix’s career slump continues, as his time at AC Milan has failed to reignite the spark that once had fans calling him Cristiano Ronaldo’s successor. Now 25, Felix is reportedly being offered to lower-tier European clubs as his agent searches for a new path.

Felix’s journey has been rocky ever since his big-money move from Benfica to Atletico Madrid in 2019. Under Diego Simeone, his flair didn’t quite click with the team’s rigid tactical setup — and he often found himself on the bench.

Since then, he’s bounced around via loan spells, but none have truly revived his form:

  • Chelsea (2022–2023)

  • Barcelona (2023–2024)

  • AC Milan (mid-2024/25)

Even though he managed to score on his Milan debut, consistency continues to elude him. Despite Chelsea investing nearly €60 million in him, Felix has yet to prove he’s more than a flash of early potential.

With top-tier interest drying up, his next move could be make-or-break.
