Joan Mir reluctant to comment on Luca Marini’s future at Honda

Honda HRC Castrol rider Joan Mir is choosing to remain cautious regarding his teammate Luca Marini’s future — whose position in MotoGP is being questioned as contract expiration approaches.

Marini’s contract with the Wings of Gold team will expire in six months, yet there are no signs of contract extension. The situation is further intensified by rumors of Jorge Martin’s interest in moving from Aprilia to Honda.

While his performance may not match Johann Zarco who frequently appears in front positions, Marini consistently outperforms Mir who often fails to finish races. The Italian rider is also known for his valuable analytical skills in motorcycle development.

Unfortunately, Marini’s efforts to prove himself were hampered by an injury sustained during Suzuka 8 Hours testing about three weeks ago — forcing his absence since the Aragon GP until now.
