Joan Mir optimistic about unique COTA circuit challenges at MotoGP Americas

Joan Mir of Honda HRC Castrol — the 2020 MotoGP world champion — shows optimism ahead of MotoGP Americas 2025 in Austin, Texas this weekend.

Positive results in GP Argentina provide valuable momentum for Honda riders — Joan Mir and Johann Zarco from satellite team LCR managed to finish in 6th and 9th positions in the main race.

“Despite the short break between races, I’m excited to get back on track and develop our potential,” says Joan Mir. “Austin has truly unique track characteristics — very different from other circuits.”

Challenges at Circuit of The Americas come not only from its unique layout — riders’ physical endurance will also be tested after long intercontinental travel.
