Jesse Love briefly celebrated a dramatic victory at last week’s NASCAR Xfinity Rockingham race — climbing from third to first during an overtime restart. However, his triumph was nullified hours later due to technical issues with the car’s rear suspension.

NASCAR explained the disqualification reason: “All mating surfaces between the truck trailing arm and the U-bolt saddle must be in complete contact with each other.”

This race marked Xfinity series’ return to the legendary Rockingham circuit after a 21-year absence. Richard Childress RacingLove’s team — plans to appeal the decision.

“Good thing my house has a safe,” Love posted on X social media in response to his victory being stripped.

Similar cases occurred earlier this year when Parker Kligerman was disqualified after winning the NASCAR Truck Series opener at Daytona. An even older case happened in 2022, when Denny Hamlin lost his Pocono victory after failing post-race inspection.
