Jerry Bruckheimer hints at F1 movie sequel before initial release

According to ESPN, Jerry Bruckheimer opens up about the possibility of a Formula 1 movie sequel — even before the first film hits theaters. The 81-year-old producer mentioned Albert Park Circuit Melbourne as a potential location for the upcoming sequel.

The F1 film starring Brad Pitt and Damson Idris — boasts a production budget exceeding 200 million dollars. This ambitious project is directed by Joseph Kosinski with input from Lewis Hamilton.

“If a lot of people see it, we’ll figure out how to make another one. Melbourne is a track we haven’t been to and I’d love to go there because I know it’s a favorite for many drivers,” says Bruckheimer.

Test screening results show positive response — with 80% of viewers recommending the film to their friends. Apple executive Eddy Cue revealed that after watching the film — almost all viewers expressed interest in watching F1 races live.

The F1 film is scheduled for global theatrical release on June 25 and two days later in the United States. Early projections indicate potential earnings of 56-72 million dollars in its opening week in the United States.
