Jens Raven scores 6 goals, Indonesia U-23 coach issues warning

Gerald Vanenburg, Indonesia U-23 national team coach, issued a warning to Jens Raven after the young striker experienced cramps during the match against Brunei Darussalam at Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium, Jakarta.

In the Group A opener of ASEAN Cup U-23 2025, Indonesia U-23 team secured a decisive 8-0 victory — Raven became the star of the match by scoring six goals.

The Bali United striker showed an impressive performance in the first half with five goals in minutes 2, 9, 31, 33, and a penalty in minute 41 — before adding another goal in minute 62. The other two goals were contributed by Arkhan Fikri and Rayhan Hannan.

Despite the big win, Vanenburg highlighted the team’s declining performance in the second half — player composition changes through several substitutions led to significant differences in game quality.
