Jay Idzes reveals football level gap between Indonesia and Japan

According to Bolasport.com, Indonesia national team captain Jay Idzes analyzed the clear difference in playing levels as his team suffered a heavy defeat against Japan at Panasonic Stadium Suita.

In the final match of the World Cup 2026 Qualifiers third round Asian Zone, the Garuda squad endured a 0-6 loss — despite Japan only fielding few star players including Wataru Endo and Takefusa Kubo.

The Blue Samurai’s dominance was evident through their goal sequence:

  • Daichi Kamada (15th, 45th minute)
  • Takefusa Kubo (19th minute)
  • Ryoya Morishita (55th minute)
  • Shuto Machino (58th minute)
  • Mao Hosoya (80th minute)

“Their quality is extraordinary,” stated Indonesia’s national team coach Patrick Kluivert when asked about Asia’s best team’s performance.
