Jarrad Branthwaite extends Everton contract until 2030

Jarrad Branthwaite has officially extended his contract with Everton until 2030 — putting an end to speculation about his move to major European clubs.

The England international defender has been targeted by Chelsea and Real Madrid, while Manchester United had two bids rejected by Everton about a year ago.

“I’m over the moon. The trust the club’s put in me and how many games I’ve played over the past two seasons has made it quite an easy decision to stay,” stated Branthwaite.

Since joining from Carlisle United five years ago, Branthwaite has made 75 appearances and scored four goals for The Toffees — achievements that earned him his first England cap last year.

The 22-year-old expressed his excitement about starting the new season with his teammates at Everton’s new stadium.
