Japan VS Indonesia: Second Half Goals by Ryota & Machino, No Room for Ole to Dominate

In the second half of the Japan vs Indonesia match in the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers, Japan continued their dominance, leaving no space for Indonesia to develop their play—including for players like Ole Romeny, who had no room to shine.

Japan’s two additional goals were scored by:

  • Ryota Morishita in the 55th minute, finishing a first-time shot after receiving a cross from Shuto Machino.

  • Shuto Machino scored Japan’s fifth goal in the 58th minute, capitalizing on a chance in front of Indonesia’s goal.

With high pressing and total control of possession, Japan completely shut down Indonesia’s movement in the second half. There was no opportunity for Ole or any Indonesian player to turn things around. The second-half goals for Japan were scored by Ryota Morishita and Shuto Machino.
