Japan Thrashes Indonesia 6-0 in Osaka: Garuda Outclassed

The Indonesian national team suffered a heavy 0-6 defeat against Japan in their final Group C match of the third round of the 2026 Asian World Cup Qualifiers at Suita City Stadium, Osaka, on Tuesday, June 10, 2025. From the very start, Japan pressed hard and dominated the game. The first goal came from Daichi Kamada’s header in the 15th minute, followed by Takefusa Kubo’s strike in the 19th minute. Kamada added another just before halftime, leaving Indonesia trailing 0-3 at the break.

In the second half, Japan’s pressure did not let up. Ryota Morishita scored the fourth goal in the 55th minute, and Shuto Machino quickly added the fifth. Japan completely controlled the match, while Indonesia struggled to escape the relentless pressure and failed to create dangerous attacks. The sixth goal came midway through the second half, sealing Japan’s dominant victory until the final whistle.

Despite the heavy loss, Indonesia still advanced to the fourth round of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. This defeat serves as an important lesson for Garuda to improve their strategy and mentality when facing Asia’s top teams in the future.
