Jamie Bynoe-Gittens drew public attention when spotted with Chelsea squad after their FIFA Club World Cup match against Palmeiras at Lincoln Financial Field.

The 20-year-old player — who hasn’t been officially announced as a Chelsea player — was seen wearing the West London club’s uniform complete with a purple cap on the field.

The former Manchester City player’s presence prompted media questions to coach Enzo Maresca. The Italian manager provided a brief confirmation.

“Jamie is with us tonight, he’s on the field,” stated Maresca.
