Jamie Bynoe-Gittens returns to Chelsea after 12 years

Jamie Bynoe-Gittens — the 20-year-old winger — has officially joined Chelsea after previously developing at the club’s academy.

This young player’s career journey has a unique story — he trained at Chelsea’s academy when he was 8-9 years old before having to leave the club.

“It feels like coming back to the beginning. I was at Chelsea when I was at U-8 or U-9 level. Although I wasn’t there long, I still remember how excited I was to come back from school to train for two hours every week,” said Bynoe-Gittens.

After leaving Chelsea in his childhood, this talented player continued his career development through Reading and Manchester City academies — before finally returning to the West London club’s fold.
