James Maddison Out for the Season Due to Knee Injury

Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou confirmed that midfielder James Maddison will be out for the remainder of the season due to a knee injury he sustained last week.

The Spurs midfielder suffered the injury during his team’s 3-1 victory over Bodo/Glimt in the first leg of the Europa League semifinals. “He will be out for the rest of the season, and this is very disappointing for him,” said Postecoglou in a press conference ahead of the second leg.

“I’m disappointed for him because he has been a real catalyst for us. He will be out, but that’s just the story of our season,” added the Australian manager.

In addition to Maddison, team captain Son Heung-min will also miss the trip due to a foot injury recovery. However, the good news is that striker Dominic Solanke is now available to play after previously being absent for the 1-1 draw against West Ham last weekend.
