Jamal Musiala suffers horror injury as Bayern Munich face PSG

Jamal Musiala suffered a serious injury during Bayern Munich’s match against Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in the 2025 Club World Cup quarter-finals — the young midfielder sustained a broken leg.

The incident occurred near the end of the first half at Mercedes-Benz Stadium when Musiala collided with PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma while attempting to reach the ball in the penalty area.

Replay footage showed the 22-year-old’s left leg bent unnaturally after the physical contact. Medical staff immediately provided assistance as Musiala was visibly in pain on the field.

“I pray for Musiala’s recovery,” expressed PSG coach Luis Enrique during the post-match press conference.
