Jafar/Felisha eliminated from Japan Open after losing to Malaysian pair

According to reports from Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium, Indonesian mixed doubles pair Jafar Hidayatullah/Felisha Alberta Nathaniel Pasaribu had to acknowledge defeat against Chen Tang Jie/Toh Ee Wei from Malaysia in the second round of Japan Open 2025, Thursday (17/7).

The second meeting between these pairs — following Indonesia Masters 2025 — again ended with victory for the Malaysian representatives, leaving Indonesia without any remaining mixed doubles representatives in this Super 750 tournament.

During the match, Jafar/Felisha initially trailed 0-5 in the first game — but managed to catch up and lead 11-7 at the interval. After the break, the Malaysian pair reduced the deficit to 10-11.
