Indonesian mixed doubles pair Jafar Hidayatullah/Felisha Alberta Nathaniel Pasaribu have advanced to the semifinals of the 2025 Asian Championships, taking place at the Ningbo Olympic Sports Centre Gymnasium, China.

The young Indonesian duo surprised by defeating the third seeds from Malaysia, Goh Soon Huat/Lai Shevon Jemie — who are also ranked world number three — with decisive scores of 21-15, 21-11.

Solid gameplay in both attack and defense became the key to Jafar/Felisha‘s victory — they managed to handle pressure from their more experienced opponents exceptionally well.

“Praise God, we’re very grateful, endlessly, because whatever results we get, win or lose, that’s the best,” expressed Felisha to PBSI.

“Today we could play well, cleanly, and could control the match and strategy,” added the 19-year-old athlete.

This achievement not only marks a significant milestone in their young careers but also adds momentum for Indonesia in the ongoing championship — signaling a promising future for the nation’s mixed doubles division on the continental stage.
