Jadet Meelarp Steps Down as Thailand U-17 National Team Coach

Jadet Meelarp has made the decision to resign from his position as Thailand U-17 national team coach — this decision comes after the team’s poor performance in the 2025 U-17 Asian Cup.

The War Elephants recorded disappointing results with three consecutive losses:

• Lost 1-4 to Uzbekistan
• Defeated 1-3 by Saudi Arabia
• Surrendered 0-2 to China

These results contrast with other Southeast Asian representatives — the Indonesia U-17 national team managed to collect nine points while Vietnam earned three points in the same tournament.

“I had prepared the team as best as possible for the match against China, but we still failed to achieve positive results,” stated Meelarp before announcing his resignation.
