Jack Miller recorded an impressive result for the Prima Yamaha team by finishing fifth at the MotoGP Americas 2025 at Circuit of The Americas (COTA).

The Australian rider — who previously represented Ducati and KTM teams — delivered Yamaha‘s best result in two seasons at Austin, Texas.

Miller’s performance has shown positive signs since preseason testing — despite experiencing issues and crashes in the first two rounds.

The fifth-place finish was partly due to fortunate circumstances during grid start chaos. The delayed start allowed Miller to change his tire strategy — switching from wet tires to slicks for dry conditions as the weather improved.

This strong result marks a turning point for Yamaha, which has struggled for competitiveness in recent seasons.

Miller’s adaptability and strategic decision-making highlight his potential— to push the team forward as they continue developing their bike to close the gap with the frontrunners.
