Iraq Rejects Schedule Change for World Cup Qualifier Match Against Indonesia

AFC has approved PSSI’s request to modify the schedule for Indonesia’s national team match against Iraq in the fourth round of 2026 World Cup Qualifiers — set to take place at King Abdullah Sports City, Jeddah.

The schedule modification shifts the kickoff time from 18:00 to 22:30 local time on October 11, 2025 — this decision was made to provide adequate recovery time for the Garuda squad.

Iraq Football Association (IFA) President Adnan Dirjal expressed his disagreement with this schedule change — the Iraqi side refuses to accept AFC’s decision.
