Inzaghi Admits Inter Struggled to Contain Lamine Yamal

Simone Inzaghi admitted that Inter Milan had to deploy multiple players to handle the brilliance of Lamine Yamal, the Barcelona wonderkid who was key to his team’s comeback in the 3–3 draw during the first leg of the Champions League semifinal.

The 17-year-old showed his class when Barcelona were trailing 2–0 to Inter Milan, who had taken the lead through goals from Marcus Thuram and Denzel Dumfries.

Yamal scored a stunning goal in the 24th minute with a curling shot from inside the box — despite being surrounded by several Inter Milan players, including goalkeeper Yann Sommer.

“We had to gang up on Yamal to stop his movements,” said Simone Inzaghi after the match.
