Inter Milan president responds to trophyless season after Club World Cup exit

Beppe Marotta, Inter Milan president, shared his perspective after the club concluded the 2024-2025 season without trophies — marked by their final defeat in the Club World Cup Round of 16 against Fluminense with a score of 0-2.

La Beneamata’s journey throughout the season was marked by several disappointing results — including the Supercoppa Italia final loss to AC Milan with a score of 2-3 earlier this year.

Simone Inzaghi’s team also had to acknowledge their city rivals’ superiority in the Coppa Italia semifinals, suffering a heavy 0-3 defeat in the second leg. In Serie A, Lautaro Martinez’s squad had to settle for a runner-up finish behind Napoli, despite closing the season with a 2-0 victory over Como.
