Inter Milan Appoints Cristian Chivu as New Head Coach

Inter Milan has appointed Cristian Eugen Chivu as their new head coach — replacing Simone Inzaghi who joined Al Hilal.

The 44-year-old former Romanian defender has a long history with I Nerazzurri — playing for the club from 2007 to 2014 and being part of the treble-winning team in 2010.

During his playing career at Inter Milan, Chivu made 169 appearances and collected various prestigious titles:

  • 3 Scudetti
  • 2 Coppa Italia
  • 1 Champions League
  • 1 Club World Cup

Prior to this promotion, Chivu has coached various Inter Milan youth teams since 2018 — ranging from U-14 to the Primavera U-19 team. The UEFA Pro license holder since 2019 also managed Parma in Serie A last season.
