Inter Miami advances to Club World Cup round of 16 after draw with Palmeiras

Inter Miami advanced to the round of 16 of the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup after drawing 2-2 against Palmeiras at Hard Rock Stadium, Miami.

The squad led by Lionel Messi — who turns 38 today — took a two-goal lead through Tadeo Allende‘s strike in the 16th minute and Luis Suarez in the 65th minute.

The hosts’ advantage vanished in the final 10 minutes — Palmeiras mounted a comeback through goals from Paulinho and Mauricio Prado seven minutes apart.
