Indra Wijaya shows support for Anthony Ginting after Japan Open comeback

Indonesia’s men’s singles coach Indra Wijaya has expressed special appreciation for Anthony Sinisuka Ginting who recently returned to the court after injury recovery, as reported in PBSI press release.

The Tokyo 2020 Olympic bronze medalist — who is also former Asian Champion — had to miss tournaments for six months due to an injury requiring intensive treatment.

“For Ginting, after six months without tournament participation, his debut performance was quite satisfactory,” stated Indra.

“There were some issues with touch and shot feeling, also tournament atmosphere that weren’t quite there yet. That’s completely normal,” he added.

Despite experiencing defeat at Japan Open 2025 — which marked his comeback tournament — Indra Wijaya maintains a positive outlook on his athlete’s recovery process.
