Indra Wijaya has been officially appointed as PBSI’s main men’s singles coach — replacing Mulyo Handoyo, who now focuses on his role as coaching coordinator.

The 51-year-old coach previously managed the women’s singles division, with his appointment taking place during the 2025 Asian Championships in Ningbo, China.

“I was trusted to replace Mr. Mulyo in main men’s singles. I just found out during the recent Eid holiday,” stated Indra Wijaya at the national training center in Cipayung, Jakarta.

The former coach of Lee Zii Jia acknowledges that Indonesian men’s singles is in a fluctuating condition — several players are still in injury recovery and working to reach peak levels.

“The process takes time as each coach has their own style. Everything is certainly for the benefit of the players,” added Indra, who will continue similar training programs as his predecessor.
