Indra Wijaya hopes for Alwi Farhan’s maturity at China Open 2025

According to Bolasport.com, Indonesia’s men’s singles coach Indra Wijaya expressed his expectations for Alwi Farhan’s development ahead of China Open 2025.

The 20-year-old player recently showed promising performance at Japan Open 2025 — nearly defeating defending champion Alex Lanier from France.

“Looking at Alwi’s performance at Japan Open, I’m quite satisfied, though there are still some non-technical issues to address,” stated Indra Wijaya.

“How to handle pressure, how to manage on-court situations – he’s not yet mature in these aspects. But in other areas, I see good progress,” he added.

Approaching China Open 2025, the PBSI head coach for men’s singles chose not to burden Alwi with specific targets — the main focus is maintaining his condition and game momentum.
