Indra Sjafri speaks up about U-23 national team coach for SEA Games 2025

Indonesia’s U-23 national team is preparing for two major tournaments in 2025 — the ASEAN Cup U-23 Championship and SEA Games.

Gerald Vanenburg has been appointed as head coach for the ASEAN Cup U-23, but PSSI has not yet made a decision regarding the coaching position for SEA Games.

Indra Sjafri, former Indonesia U-20 coach who successfully led the team to victory in the previous SEA Games edition, revealed that there has been no further communication regarding the assignment for the upcoming SEA Games.

“For the coach position at SEA Games 2025, it’s still unknown. Let’s wait and see. I haven’t had any discussions with PSSI yet,” said Sjafri.
