Indonesian women’s volleyball team secures first win at AVC Nations Cup

The Indonesian women’s volleyball team recorded a remarkable achievement at the AVC Nations Cup 2025 held at Dong Anh Arena, Hanoi, Vietnam. Ersandrina Devega Salsabilah and teammates successfully defeated Mongolia with a decisive score of 3-0 (25-18, 25-21, 25-23).

The match started intensely — Mongolia took advantage after capitalizing on Indonesia’s overpass error. Medi Yoku and her team fell behind to 3-5 due to service errors by Ersandrina and Ajeng Viona.

The game momentum shifted when Indonesia equalized through Mongolia’s attacking error. The red and white team then took a 6-5 lead thanks to Medi Yoku’s service ace, followed by an 8-6 advantage through Ersandrina’s clever execution of a freeball.

The match remained competitive as Mongolia managed to level the score at 9-9 and 11-11, with Saruulgerel Ganbaatar as their main threat. However, two consecutive quick attacks from Shella Bernadetha put Indonesia back in the lead.
