Indonesian women’s volleyball team secures fifth place at AVC Nations Cup 2025

The Indonesian women’s volleyball team under coach Octavian secured fifth place at the AVC Nations Cup 2025 held at Dong Anh Arena, Hanoi, Vietnam. The squad led by Yolla Yuliana concluded the tournament with a decisive 3-1 victory (25-17, 25-15, 23-25, 25-20) over Iran.

The national team’s journey in this tournament was marked by two contrasting phases — starting with three consecutive losses against Iran, Philippines, and Kazakhstan, but rebounding with four straight victories.

The Indonesian team demonstrated remarkable recovery by defeating:

• Mongolia in the group stage
• New Zealand in a crucial match
• Two ranking determination matches

This achievement marks significant progress — the team improved their position from seventh place last year to fifth place this year.
