Indonesian Women’s Volleyball Team Ready for Two Major Tournaments

The Indonesian women’s national volleyball team — which recently finished fifth in the AVC Nations Cup — still has two important events this year.

The competition schedule begins with SEA V League 2025 to be held in two locations — Bangkok on July 25-27 and Hanoi on August 1-3 — followed by the Thailand SEA Games at the end of the year.

Megawati Hangestri Pertiwi will return to strengthen the team after missing the AVC Nations Cup.

“From the letter I received, Megawati informed that she will get married in July, so she cannot defend the national team,” said PBVSI Development Officer Loudry Maspaitella. “However, Megawati will only miss the AVC Women’s Volleyball Nation Cup, after that she can defend the national team again.”

The team previously led by Coach Octavian is not expected to use foreign coach services for the upcoming two tournaments.
