Indonesian women’s volleyball team defeats New Zealand in final AVC Nations Cup match

The Indonesian women’s volleyball team concluded their Group B campaign at the AVC Nations Cup 2025, held at Dong Anh Gymnasium in Hanoi, Vietnam, with a decisive victory over New Zealand.

Ersandrina Devega Salsabila and her teammates secured a straight-set win with scores of 3-0 (25-14, 25-15, 25-19) — ending their group stage journey on a positive note.

Prior to this victory, coach Oktavian’s squad suffered three consecutive defeats — losing to Iran (2-3), Philippines (1-3), and Kazakhstan (0-3).

Ersandrina achieved individual success by leading the tournament’s scoring chart with 96 points — surpassing Mongolia’s Saruulgerel Ganbat (68 points) and Iran’s Masi (65 points). Her teammate Mediol Stiovany Yoku also ranked in the top five with 65 points.

Indonesia finished fourth among six teams in Group B, while Philippines emerged as group champions after defeating Kazakhstan 3-0 (25-21, 25-15, 25-19).
